MDAs validate Reforms Reporting Module

The Public Sector Reforms Management Department (PSRMD) early August initiated a series of Validation Workshops with multiple stakeholders to validate the Reporting Module of the Public Sector Reforms Information Management System (PSRIMS).

The PSRIMS was launched in December last year as part of Reforms in the Reforms Department to help improve service delivery.

Using the new system, Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) are now able to formulate their Reform Contracts and report progress online with the Secretariate providing its oversight function and track implementation of Reforms in real time.

The Validation Session of the Reporting Module seeks to gather views and inputs from MDAs as the institutions commence reporting progress on the implementation of their Reforms for the 2026/27 financial year.

According to Secretary for Public Sector Reforms, Dr. Luckie Sikwese, the new system is a game changer in the implementation of Reforms since it provides a platform that enables efficient implementation of Public Sector Reforms away from the paper-based processes that were used in the past.

The new system will also be opened up to the public through the Public Portal where citizens will be able to track and appreciate Reforms being undertaken by MDAs.

MDAs present at the validation sessions included, Malawi University of Science and Technology, Department of Innovation in the Office of the President and Cabinet, Malawi Department of Immigration and Citizenship Services, Malawi Government Ministry of Information and Communications Technology, Lilongwe City Council, Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) and several other Government Departments.
